Hi all, remember me? I haven't been in DA-land for ages, but I've finally dragged my butt back in order to remove my Deviations and bow out of DA. There are several reasons for this (DA's technical issues and glacial speeds being biggies), but basically I want my own little space to play around in, with a little more control over how my photos are arranged and displayed. So while my DA gallery has sat here and gotten stale over the past year, I've been busy taking lots more photos...and recently I arranged everything on a new gallery at (plug-plug-plug) [link] It gives me plenty of room and speed to play with, plus copy protection and other goodies. (I've never been completely comfortable putting my best shots up for grabs...not that I claim to have a lot of steal-able shots, but now that my photos are proected, I'm actually getting more requests for usage.) And yes, I'm paying for the service, but it's well worth the money!

However, one thing I will miss about DA is the sense of community and all the wonderful comments people have left. Even though the Deviations are gone, I've saved all the comments because I greatly appreciate all the nice things you folks have posted! It encouraged me to keep pointing my camera at things and take photography a little more seriously... There are some great people here with amazing talent, and I'm glad I got to rub virtual shoulders with a few of 'em.
